Question by Nikki: What do you think of this ring?

I really like this ring as my engagement ring, but I’m afraid it may look too gaudy. I don’t want it to look fake..is it too big? It is 2ct in the center and 1 ct of surrounding stones. Please give me your opinion, particularly people who have experience with jewelry.
