keep in mind, however, that moissanite looks different than diamonds in light. Because it is man made in a lab, the light refraction gives off a different color spectrum. Some people can spot a moissanite easily (I can) and will not think it’s a diamond (I am not sure if that’s your intention – i worked for a jeweler in college, so I learned a lot about these). If you are not looking for something that people will think is a diamond, then go for it. Remember, though, that a diamond (even though you’ll get a smaller diamond for the same price as a larger moissanite) will hold value and even increase in value over time, whereas a moissanite will not (just giving you some “food for thought” about the stone itself – I know a lot of jewelers play the stone up and BS about it. There are incentives to sell it at some stores, etc).
